The issuance of the EU Laissez-Passer requires the set-up and operations of 2 PKIs aimed at managing the certification requirements for the implementation of the passive authentication (ICAO-PKI) and for the implementation of the extended access control (EAC-PKI). Moreover, it requires the implementation and maintenance of a single point of contact (SPOC) in order to set-up the certificate exchange mechanism required by EAC, the implementation and maintenance of a Deviation List Signer (DLS) and the implementation and maintenance of a Master List Signer (MLS) including all the operations and functionalities required to manage the life-cycle for the collection and storage of the defect list and of the CSCA certificates to be included in the master list.
