Tenderers are invited to tender under the Pre-Commercial Procurement (PCP) for the provision of research and development services to seek solutions for a 'Whole System Design for Energy Efficient HPC'.
CINECA will act as the Procuring Entity that carries out the PCP in its own name and on its own behalf as well as in name and on behalf of the GOP Members (see section VI.3).
Please note this is a PCP adhering to the EU Treaty Principles but not subject to the Italian Public Contract Regulations 2006, the EU Public Procurement Directives or the WTO/GPA.

It is also noted that the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe AISBL (PRACE) has participated in the preparation of the PCP, is acting as an observer, and is supporting its implementtion as an advisory entity. This PCP procurement receives funding under the European Union's FP7 research programme under the grant agreement “PRACE - Third Implementation Phase Project” [grant agreement number RI-312763]. However the EU is not participating as a contracting authority in this procurement.
